Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Thornton, Illinois.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanners. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Administer contrast media and other medications as required for CT procedures.
- Monitor patients during CT procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, including imaging results and any complications.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Graduate of an approved Radiology Technology Program.
- ARRT certification in CT.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
