Sterile Processing Technician

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for task-based Sterile Processing activities at Walker Baptist Medical Center. This role involves decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, as well as assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software applications and be able to work collaboratively with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies.
Requirements
High School diploma or GED is required. Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course with field training or 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Operating Technician is also required. BLS certification is required, and certification with IAHCSMM or CBSPD within 8 months is preferred. Current certification through internationally recognized organizations such as IAHCSMM or Certification Board for Central Sterile Processing is also preferred.
