About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Buyer to join our team at Volta Trucks. As a key member of our purchasing function, you will play a critical role in driving our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of sourcing plans, ensuring timely delivery and meeting agreed targets.
  • Lead sourcing activities, manage RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs, and help resolve escalations from other Category Buyers and Junior Buyers.
  • Implement strategic sourcing methodologies for specified commodities, including I.T, professional services, engineering services, logistics, and packaging.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing support and guidance when needed.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements with suppliers, working closely with the legal team.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in indirect purchasing, preferably in I.T, professional services, engineering services, logistics, or packaging.
  • Strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and contract management skills.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently.
