Norman Regional Health System is a leading provider of medical services, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks, including specimen collection, processing, and record-keeping. You will also provide assistance to clients, including picking up and delivering specimens/reports and serving as a liaison between the client and the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Process specimens for testing, storage, and sending to reference laboratories.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance and promote safe driving practices.
  • Perform diagnostic electrocardiograms on outpatients and therapeutic INR QC/testing procedures.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $14.29-$23.24 per hour based on previous work experience.
