About the Role:

Mama's House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the position of House Mother. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily functioning of Mama's House, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Lead devotion and provide spiritual guidance to our residents.
  • Provide transportation for residents, utilizing our company van.
  • Take responsibility for the welfare and well-being of residents, promoting a caring and harmonious environment.
  • Record daily communication reports on each resident, highlighting their progress and any concerns.
  • Assume a maternal influence, providing guidance and support to our residents.
  • Be approachable and open, fostering a sense of community and belonging among our residents.
  • Delegate tasks to residents to maintain a clean and organized living space.
  • Assist residents with social correctness, etiquette, and professional courtesies.
  • Respond to emergencies and call for medical assistance as needed.
  • Implement policies and guidelines outlined in the Resident Handbook.
  • Interface with and resolve conflicts between residents, promoting a peaceful and respectful environment.
  • Develop and encourage residents to support one another, fostering a sense of unity and cooperation.
  • Teach basic life skills, including cooking, housekeeping, and childcare.
  • Monitor schedules to ensure residents adhere to extra-curricular activities, such as Mom's to Mom's, Learn and Earn, GED, Healthy Eating, and Nutritional Education.
  • Understand the importance of observation, staying in contact with residents and being aware of any changes in their behavior or well-being.
  • Be familiar with Mama's House policies and procedures, completing tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • Mature Christian actively living out their faith.
  • Social Services experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and insurance.
  • Certifications for CPR and First Aid.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Drug Free.
  • Will submit to random drug testing.
  • Proof of last TB Test.
