Job Overview

Forge Forward is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to assist in supporting a client. The ideal candidate will possess 3-7 years of pertinent acquisition experience, particularly within the defense sector. This role necessitates an active Secret clearance, and US citizenship is mandatory to obtain this clearance. Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered. This position operates in a hybrid model, with a significant portion of responsibilities conducted at the client site.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage DoD 5000 series program and acquisition documentation for major defense acquisition initiatives.
  • Conduct requirements analyses, documentation development, alternatives analysis, and cost-benefit assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
  • 3-7 years of relevant acquisition experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related analytical field.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in developing DoD 5000 series acquisition documentation.
  • Experience with ACAT programs and Rapid Prototyping Planning.
  • Ability to lead requirements analysis and conduct business case evaluations.
  • Skilled in assessing technical alternatives, documenting methodologies, and providing informed recommendations.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering decision briefs for senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate effectively across diverse groups.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with NAVAIR or the Navy.
  • Experience collaborating with mid-level and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • DAU class certifications in Acquisition are advantageous.
