Job Opportunity: Firefighter/Paramedic

The Town of Ashland is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care, fire suppression, and rescue services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care and transportation to patients
  • Operate fire apparatus and equipment to suppress fires and rescue individuals
  • Participate in fire prevention and safety education programs
  • Perform routine maintenance on fire apparatus and equipment
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders to provide effective emergency services

Requirements:

  • EMT-Basic certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EMT-Paramedic certification
  • Fire Fighter I/II certificate
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a 911 service
