The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in planning and design of projects in rivers, streams, and floodplains, with expertise in habitat restoration, fish passage improvements, and watershed management.

This is a salaried position with an annual salary range of $113,831 - $159,250, offering a flexible hybrid work culture, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement restoration and floodplain management projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement projects
  • Prepare design plans, construction specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Manage design tasks through design completion and construction
  • Develop contractual scopes of work and budgets
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience in restoration and floodplain management
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Current professional engineer (PE) license in California, Washington, and/or Oregon, or ability to readily obtain one via comity application
  • Familiarity with Western state environmental policy and local permitting requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in civil engineering or environmental science with an emphasis on aquatic ecosystems restoration, hydraulics, and/or geomorphology
  • Experience as a project manager of floodplain and restoration design or planning projects
  • Fish passage analysis and design experience with roadway culverts
  • Construction management and inspection experience
