About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida JFK North Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • A minimum of one year acute care hospital behavioral health RN experience required.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Other-Fingerprint Required
