About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Associate to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for representing clients in complex litigation cases and providing expert legal advice.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery, in state and federal courts, regulatory agencies, and other adjudicative bodies.
  • Manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, and advocating for clients in court.
  • Build relationships with clients and work closely with them to ensure their legal rights are protected and that they receive the best possible results.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of case laws, statutes, legal articles, codes, and other relevant material to establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, contracts, and other relevant documents.
  • Provide legal advice to clients, present findings to colleagues, and represent clients in court during trials and hearings.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in law and the legal industry to enhance performance and provide top-notch services to clients.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the Bar of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research and outstanding legal writing skills.
  • Strong litigation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, showing initiative and drive.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
