Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Family Pet Clinic. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and deliver outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely updates to clients on their pets' status, including home care instructions and medication administration guidance.
- Educate clients on preventative medicine, wellness care, and laboratory procedures, and support hospital financial policies.
- Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure the surgery room, ICU area, exam rooms, and treatment areas are prepared and maintained, and properly care for all surgical materials and hospital equipment.
- Administer SQ, IM, and IV injections, perform laboratory tests, radiographs, and electrocardiograms, and place IV catheters.
- At least two years of Veterinary Technician experience.
- Surgical experience required.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
