About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our Visual Communications team at LSC-North Harris. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching courses in Visual Communication, developing and implementing curriculum, and providing academic advising to students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Visual Communication at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs
  • Develop and use a syllabus for each course or laboratory within college and departmental guidelines
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives and inform them in a timely manner of their progress in the course
  • Submit required college reports and forms
  • Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community

  • Mastery of course content
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints; ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
