Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary
Johnston-Willis Hospital is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality CT images of patients, following established scanning protocols, and exercising the ability to adjust protocols as required.
About the Role
Demonstrate the ability to perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech, to ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians' orders are verified.
Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner, prepares examination rooms for CT scans and/or invasive procedures, and monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation.
Responsibilities
- Obtain quality CT images of patients, following established scanning protocols.
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, and utilize Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech, to ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians' orders are verified.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, preparing examination rooms for CT scans and/or invasive procedures, and monitoring inventory of supplies during room rotation.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies, and all types of care to patients.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) - CT Technology Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Vocational School Graduate.
