About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic imaging services in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams in different settings, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for diagnostic imaging exams, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collect and verify required order documentation and patient information, ensuring seamless communication with healthcare teams.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams, demonstrating empathy and compassion in every interaction.
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or designated exam settings, utilizing your expertise to optimize image quality.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient's characteristics, applying your knowledge of radiation safety and infection control.
  • Process and review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, upholding the highest standards of equipment maintenance and safety.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem solving of equipment and systems, collaborating with colleagues to resolve technical issues.
  • Take care of the vehicle and ensure it is well stocked with necessary supplies, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R).
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record, ensuring safe transportation of patients and equipment.
  • Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds, demonstrating physical stamina and adaptability.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, showcasing flexibility and commitment to patient care.
