Job Summary

The Land Development Manager is a key member of the Lennar Homes team, responsible for overseeing the land development process from planning to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of land development principles, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Land Development Planning: Develop and implement land development plans, including site selection, entitlements, and infrastructure development.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple land development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and contractors, as well as external stakeholders, such as government agencies and community groups.
  • Site Improvement: Oversee site improvement activities, including grading, drainage, and utility installation.
  • SWPPP Management: Ensure compliance with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality, through value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Entitlement Process: Manage the entitlement process, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, budget variances, and risk assessments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in land development and construction, with a minimum of 1 year in a national homebuilding company.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of land development principles, excellent communication and project management skills, ability to read and understand engineering and architectural plans, and proficiency in project scheduling and data management software.
