Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Arnot Health. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and appeal of our dietary areas, while providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up and assembling patient trays, and serve food to Arnot Health personnel and visitors from a counter or steam table.
  • Prepare and serve food for patients from patient cold tables, and perform a variety of unskilled tasks as directed by the Dietary Department.
  • Clean and maintain dietary areas, equipment, and working spaces, and ensure the cleanliness and appeal of our facilities.
  • Monitor and maintain food temperatures, and record temperatures per policy and regulatory agencies following HACCP guidelines.
  • Replenish table supplies, wait on tables, and serve at special functions as required.
  • Prepare dishes, silver, trays, and cooking utensils for washing, and wash racks, clean walls and floors in compliance with sanitary regulations.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent education.
  • Ability to read and understand food requirements for all dishes.
  • No CPR certification required.
  • Some physical effort or strain required, including lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, or stooping.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to food, water, and cleaning chemicals. The employee must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a clean and organized work area.
