Job Summary:

American Ring is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team in our manufacturing plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Install, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and upgrade all machinery in the plant to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of machine maintenance, including preventative measures, repairs, and other related activities.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory records for replacement parts and order supplies and parts as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other team members to quickly resolve production machinery issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Prioritize repair work and make recommendations to engineering regarding machinery upgrades and improvements.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect jobs before and after repairs to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain the overall condition of the building and ensure that all equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Safety and Compliance: Administer safety programs and ensure that all machinery is in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Troubleshoot and upgrade PLC programs, create lock-out, tag-out procedures for all equipment, and apply electrical, mechanical, machinist, and welding skills to repair non-operational machinery.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute a preventative and predictive maintenance program for all equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize PC-based systems for managing records and performing assigned Quality System functions.
  • Accountability: Ensure daily accuracy and productivity is maintained to meet accountability standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform housekeeping duties and adhere to health and safety standards to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Physical Demands:

  • The position requires physical stamina and may involve standing for extended periods.
  • Repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, and stretching may be required.
