POSITION SUMMARY
The Commercial Waste Collection Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of collection vehicles, ensuring timely and courteous waste removal services for our clients. This role requires adherence to safety standards and regulations, as well as the completion of vehicle condition reports to maintain operational readiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Safely navigate designated routes, providing waste collection services as per the assigned schedule.
- Utilize manual and automatic controls to operate the vehicle and perform waste collection tasks.
- Engage with customers and dispatchers professionally to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor waste containers for compliance and address any issues according to departmental procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the vehicle, minimizing downtime.
- Complete necessary documentation, including route sheets and vehicle condition reports.
- Adhere to productivity standards to ensure timely service for all customers.
- Participate in safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.
