We are seeking a qualified Lead Financial Analyst to become an integral part of our team at a project-focused energy firm. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Controller in managing the revenue recognition process, financial disclosures, account reconciliations, and various corporate accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package along with related schedules for corporate submission.
- Analyze monthly job performance, suggesting revenue accruals as needed during the month-end closing process.
- Deliver variance analysis and narratives for balance sheet and income statement accounts on a quarterly basis.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of multiple balance sheet accounts and prepare various journal entries for month-end closing.
- Work collaboratively with external auditors to prepare for, conduct, and finalize audits, addressing issues and accounting interpretations related to GAAP.
- Propose alternative procedures and enhancements to financial reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls in your areas of responsibility, including the development and documentation of related processes and controls.
- Prepare and submit workers' compensation reports.
- Assist in the compilation of the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and supporting schedules.
- Help upload the annual budget and reforecasts into the ERP system.
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of internal control procedures and management information systems.
- Proficient in office automation and computerized financial applications.
- Strong understanding of accounting and reporting systems.
- Ability to prepare and analyze intricate financial reports.
- Capability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures.
Compensation Package:
- Competitive base salary up to $95,000 with an additional 10% bonus.
- 15 days of paid time off.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model with three days per week in the office.
