About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Forest Lake, MN. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing facility equipment and systems, including packing and line machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air compressors, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

You will also support the Production department with proper machine operation, troubleshooting, and changeover activities. Additionally, you will follow all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance Systems (MPS), and assist with monitoring and maintaining sufficient and cost-effective inventories of parts and supplies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on an established schedule, including testing on energized electrical equipment
  • Ensuring all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled, and that all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and updated as required
  • Providing documentation as needed, including data entry into PM software
  • Performing other duties as requested by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Advanced PLC programming and Robotics skills
  • Physical Demands:
    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
    • Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, bend, balance, reach above shoulders, crouch, and frequent use of hands to feel, handle, touch, or manipulate
    • Frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds
  • Training and/or certification in electrical, mechanical, or another related field with basic knowledge in PLC and robotics
  • 2-5 years of general maintenance experience, including trouble shooting and correcting problems with mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pumps, and motors, control circuits, and power supply
  • Demonstrated skills in operating hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and blueprint and schematic interpretation
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English verbal and written instructions
  • Computer and MS Office literate
