This position is for an Azure DevOps Engineer at Resource Informatics Group.

Contract Type: Long Term Rolling Contract - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote weekly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the establishment of migration protocols, oversee release management, and manage application migrations within the Shared Services division while collaborating with stakeholders to realize the strategic vision.

• Oversee the Release Management lifecycle, which includes scheduling releases, coordinating between various teams, and deploying releases according to the established timeline for both on-premise and cloud applications.

• Possess a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and contribute to the development of DevOps automation scripts aimed at enhancing system reliability and operational efficiency.

• Identify and mitigate risks that could potentially delay releases, ensuring that quality and scope remain uncompromised.

• Continuously refine the release management process to boost efficiency and quality.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible to support rapid deployment and testing of infrastructure and configuration changes across multiple Agile development teams.

• Respond to and manage production issues related to DevOps responsibilities, adhering to the established Service Level Agreements.

• Fully integrated within the Shared Services team, actively participating in all Agile ceremonies and planning sessions.

• Accept tasks into the team backlog and take ownership of commitments outlined for each Program Increment (PI).

• Responsible for optimizing, enhancing, and supporting cybersecurity measures related to the Shared Service application suite.

• Research and implement innovative technologies to maintain the team's competitive edge.

Required Education (certifications, licenses):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Technical Engineering field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Release Management and DevOps.
  • SAFe certification(s) are advantageous.
  • DevOps certification(s) are beneficial.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
  • Expertise in DevSecOps CI/CD processes and IT Release Management.
  • Advanced proficiency in GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and other equivalent DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with Source Control best practices.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to address complex issues arising during design and testing phases.

Ability to work independently while maintaining focus in a dynamic work environment.
