Thomas Brooke International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business units and driving growth through strategic contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, toll manufacturing arrangements, buy and sell supply agreements, equipment leases, non-compete agreements, consulting agreements, distribution agreements, software agreements, license agreements, warranties, and terms and conditions of sale/purchase.
  • Provide advice and guidance to business personnel on day-to-day legal claims and issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise on global employment and labor matters, including employee relations, terminations, compliance, background screenings, immigration, recruiting, compensation, and other related matters.
  • Collaborate with large project teams and one-on-one with business colleagues to drive business objectives and deliver results.

Requirements

  • JD degree and 2-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Experience in drafting, revising, analyzing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • In-house experience preferred, but not required. You must have experience working with corporate clients.
  • Admission to, and good standing with, at least one US state bar (or DC).
  • Familiarity with Oracle HRIS systems is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment.
  • Ability to change gears quickly and provide service to a wide range of different needs and personality types.
  • Real-world business acumen with a deep-seated commitment to providing responsive client service to internal customers.
  • Comfortable going direct to the subject matter expert or business leader to get the necessary understanding or insight.
  • Purposeful, results-focused, with well-developed prioritization skills.
  • Willing to work 5 days a week in the office and travel up to 10% domestically.
