Job Responsibilities:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate will be tasked with the following responsibilities, along with any additional duties as assigned:
- Maintains an attractive and well-stocked bakery section to meet customer needs. Engages with customers warmly, offering suggestions and answering inquiries about various products. Addresses customer concerns promptly and courteously.
- Processes customer orders in-store or over the phone with a friendly demeanor. Identifies customer preferences regarding size, flavor, and presentation.
- Prepares special-order displays during busy periods and sets up bakery cases as necessary. May also involve writing on cakes.
- Ensures all products are fresh, properly priced, and displayed with accurate signage. Manages spoiled or damaged items according to company standards, ensuring only saleable products are available.
- May assist in the production of various baked goods, adhering to company recipes and production logs.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the bakery area. Follows cleaning protocols to ensure all workspaces, equipment, and displays meet health and safety regulations.
- May assist with receiving and organizing deliveries, including the operation of equipment if properly trained.
- Contributes to minimizing waste and managing damages, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Collaborates effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations within the department.
- Utilizes all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- May be called upon to support other departments as needed.
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty effectively, with or without accommodation. The following qualifications are necessary:
A completed or in-progress High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience is necessary.
