Senior Design Engineer, Last Mile Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Design Engineer to lead our Last Mile Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation delivery systems that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for our delivery station network.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks while influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects and effectively communicate with senior executives.
- Travel 25% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations.
- 7+ years of experience with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- 7+ years of experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
- 7+ years of experience in Capital project management.
- 7+ years of experience with concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
- 7+ years of experience with ownership/management of engineering design projects.
- 7+ years of experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, and Mathematics (or equivalent related experience).
- Experience in Operations, Logistics, or Production business.
- Experience in innovation/Research & Development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
