Position Overview

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking a dedicated Overnight Veterinary Care Specialist to enhance our Urgent Care team. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and support within our facility.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and accurately document patient vital signs and activities.
  • Provide comprehensive technical assistance to the primary emergency veterinarian.
  • Deliver comfort, diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care to all patients, including those in critical condition.
  • Conduct basic, emergent, and critical care anesthetic monitoring.
  • Collect and prepare samples for diagnostic testing, including blood draws and urinary catheter sampling.
  • Perform various laboratory procedures, such as blood typing and cross-matching.
  • Execute radiographic procedures while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Utilize and maintain medical equipment effectively.
  • Engage in professional communication with clients.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, with a preference for those familiar with ER/ICU settings.
  • A strong eagerness to learn and apply new skills in a practical environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in established protocols.
  • Reliability and commitment to completing all assigned tasks and projects.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a 4x10 overnight schedule.
