- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Previous work experience as a veterinarian or willingness to learn and grow with mentorship support
- Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms
- Problem-solving skills and patience when working with animals
