Job Summary

Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join their team. This is a travel job opportunity in Tyler, Texas, requiring a professional with expertise in diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Start and maintain intravenous IV access and use high-speed pressurized injection equipment.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications to established section and organizational protocols.
  • Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams, and act to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards.
  • Correctly code and enter all charges.
  • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain adherence to CHRISTUS Health Care Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Registered by the ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technology required, with CT registration preferred.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • BLS required.
Work Schedule

Weekend day shift, 7a-8:30p, Friday-Sunday.

Full-time position.

Technologist position.

Computed Tomography specialty.

CPR/BLS certification required.

Physical abilities: 50-100lbs.
