MORE ABOUT THE LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST ROLE:

CareerStaff Unlimited collaborates with organizations nationwide to elevate healthcare standards by introducing innovative practices for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Licensed Physical Therapist position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Delivering Physical Therapy services to patients following the established guidelines of each client facility.
  2. Conducting patient screenings as required by the client facility to assess the need for intervention/treatment.
  3. Evaluating patients to gather necessary data for treatment planning and execution, and communicating findings to patients, families, and team members.
  4. Coordinating individual patient schedules in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  5. Creating treatment plans that identify problems, set short and long-term goals, and outline methods to achieve these goals.
  6. Collaborating with patients, families, and team members to implement and conduct treatment as per the treatment plan.
  7. Monitoring patient responses to interventions and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet goals in accordance with physician directives.
  8. Designing home or community programs to support and enhance patient performance in their environment.
  9. Documenting patient assessments, treatment progress, follow-up, and service termination.
  10. Customizing treatment to address the unique needs of each patient.
  11. Providing guidance on adaptive devices, orthotics, or prosthetics.
  12. Training patients, families, and relevant staff in the use or application of adaptive devices. Participating in discharge planning as needed.
  13. Supervising and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants in executing the treatment plan, when applicable.
  14. Overseeing students and volunteers, when applicable.
  15. Reviewing the quality and effectiveness of the physical therapy services delivered.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST:

  1. Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  2. Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapists.
  3. At least one year of verified, supervised professional experience.
  4. Current state licensure.
