Job Summary

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts for goods and services, as well as providing legal counsel on vendor management and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate contracts for goods and services, ensuring compliance with Bank policies and regulations.
  • Provide legal counsel on vendor management and compliance matters, including vendor selection and due diligence.
  • Support the Bank's diversity and inclusion efforts in the supplier diversity area, particularly with respect to supporting regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Stay up-to-date on laws and regulations affecting the Bank's operations, including the Federal Home Loan Bank System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited law school is required.
  • Current license to practice law in any state of the United States is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant combined experience in a law firm and/or corporate law department is ideal for this role.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Contract review, drafting, and negotiating skills, particularly a demonstrated ability to manage and react to third-party documentation in a variety of contexts.
  • Strong issue-spotting, problem-solving, negotiating, and analytic ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly active listening, influence, and building productive professional relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple matters.
