As a key member of our Information Security team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization against cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Information Security Team in providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to ensure timely and effective incident response.
- Actively monitor and investigate security alerts to detect malicious activities and identify potential security risks.
- Perform threat hunting and continuous monitoring activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Correlate activity across assets and environments to detect patterns of anomalous behavior and identify potential security risks.
- Actively participate in incident response, providing expertise in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Prepare briefings and reports of analysis methodology and results to stakeholders.
- Conduct ongoing research into emerging threats and vulnerabilities to enhance incident identification capabilities.
- Collaborate with the security operations team to improve incident detection and response capabilities.
- Stay up to date on the latest vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks; research and recommend new security solutions to enhance our security posture.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work experience.
- Undergraduate degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- 2-3 years of Information Technology experience with network technologies, specifically TCP/IP, and related network tools.
- Experience assisting the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and documentation.
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with reviewing raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, IDS, system logs).
- Experience using SIEM tools, ticketing systems, and performing cyber threat analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft security tools.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, and challenging business environment.
