About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist II to join our team at Community Choice Financial Family of Brands. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization against cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Information Security Team in providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to ensure timely and effective incident response.
  • Actively monitor and investigate security alerts to detect malicious activities and identify potential security risks.
  • Perform threat hunting and continuous monitoring activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Correlate activity across assets and environments to detect patterns of anomalous behavior and identify potential security risks.
  • Actively participate in incident response, providing expertise in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Prepare briefings and reports of analysis methodology and results to stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging threats and vulnerabilities to enhance incident identification capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the security operations team to improve incident detection and response capabilities.
  • Stay up to date on the latest vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks; research and recommend new security solutions to enhance our security posture.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • 2-3 years of Information Technology experience with network technologies, specifically TCP/IP, and related network tools.
  • Experience assisting the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and documentation.
  • Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with reviewing raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, IDS, system logs).
  • Experience using SIEM tools, ticketing systems, and performing cyber threat analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft security tools.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, and challenging business environment.
