We are looking for a dependable and meticulous Stock Associate to manage our inventory effectively. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our merchandise is systematically organized, well-stocked, and accessible for customers. As a Stock Associate, your responsibilities will include maintaining both the backroom and sales floor, processing incoming shipments, and providing assistance to customers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the stockroom.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of promotional displays and events, maintaining order before and after activities.
- Support delivery personnel in unloading shipments when necessary.
- Help customers with their pickups as required.
- Verify that products are accurately tagged, assembled, and showcased.
- Facilitate the movement of new and existing stock to and from the sales floor.
- Utilize basic computer skills for inventory management, including scanning tools and printing tags (training will be provided).
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Duties:
This role does not entail any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This position operates within a retail and warehouse setting.
Physical Requirements:
The employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, lift, and bend.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift over 100 lbs. (most lifting will be assisted using tools like dollies or carts).
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of accurately tracking inventory and maintaining a tidy stockroom.
- Prior experience in stockroom or warehouse settings, especially in retail or furniture sectors, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a professional approach to customer interactions.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
