Job Summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in the Ultrasound department. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and adjust all equipment to perform exams, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures and recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's degree or Technical certificate/degree.
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, or Medical Sonographer.
