Behavioral Technician Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join our team at Maxim Healthcare Services. As a Behavioral Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with Autism, providing support and guidance to help them develop essential social skills, communication skills, and manage repetitive or restrictive behaviors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist children in developing social skills, communication skills, and managing repetitive or restrictive behaviors
  • Document child progress and milestones
  • Implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts
  • Provide behavior support services and crisis intervention
  • Follow instructions of the BCBA/Program supervisor

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children with special needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
  • Current CPR/FA certification or willingness to obtain one
  • Computer proficiency required

Compensation:

  • Hourly pay rate between $21 - $24 based on experience, education, and certification
  • $150 startup bonus if all trainings are completed by assigned deadlines
  • $50 referral bonus
