We are looking for a qualified Building Inspector to join our team in Central Texas. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of inspections on both commercial and residential properties, as well as overseeing specific projects related to code compliance. Travel within the designated area will be necessary for inspections and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive inspections for both residential and commercial properties, ensuring adherence to the International Codes.
  • Generates detailed reports in both written and electronic formats, and issues necessary notices for corrections.
  • Interprets and clarifies code and quality control regulations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Identifies, assesses, and effectively resolves unique challenges or situations that arise during inspections.
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients and the general public, ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Supports the inspection management team in business development initiatives.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:

We welcome any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role.

  • Minimum education: High school diploma or GED; additional training or certification in a technical field is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license.
  • At least 2 years of experience in field inspections related to construction projects is required.
  • ICC certifications for both Commercial and Residential inspections are necessary.
  • State of Texas Plumbing Inspector license is required.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control and project management is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential.

Working Conditions:

  • Position requires extensive fieldwork with some office responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, with full exposure on projects regulated by OSHA.
