Job Summary:

This position is accountable for providing clinical and technical support procedures, assisting nurses and medical staff to ensure quality care, and performing clerical, communication, and other related duties to facilitate the efficient functioning of the Care Center services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support to nurses and medical staff in the Emergency Department.
  • Assist with patient data collection and specimen collection.
  • Perform designated patient care procedures under the supervision of licensed nurses.
  • Participate in unit and hospital infection control plans and performance improvement processes.
  • Assist with regulatory readiness and risk management initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Perform clerical duties, including data entry and communication with other departments.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Virginia State EMT Certification and/or National Registry required.
  • AHA CPR certification required.
  • One year of EMT, military corpsman, or clinical experience preferred.
  • AHA ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
