Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Airport Customer Service Agent to join our team at GAT Airline Ground Support. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a smooth and efficient airport experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all customers, both in person and over the phone.
  • Announce incoming and outbound flights, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Handle credit card and personal check transactions with accuracy, and properly account for all collections and conduct airline close-out procedures.
  • Accept and process checked baggage, ensuring safe and secure handling.
  • Operate jetways to position them for aircraft arrival and departure, and lift, open, close, and secure aircraft doors.
  • Utilize airline computer systems to provide flight information, ticketing, and boarding documents, as well as lost or damaged baggage documentation and cargo tracking information.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Entry-level computer skills.
  • Occasional lifting of bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
