Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support existing Elasticsearch clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Design and implement new Elasticsearch clusters from scratch, including configuration, indexing, and security.
  • Decommission and recommission servers as needed, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues with Elasticsearch clusters, working closely with the development team to resolve problems.
  • Work with the Elastic Stack, including Logstash and Kibana, to ensure seamless data processing and visualization.
  • Evaluate existing Elastic clusters, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Maintain appropriate infrastructure to ensure performance and data integrity, including monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Keep Elasticsearch clusters up-to-date with the latest versions and patches.
  • Follow industry best practices for Elasticsearch administration and security.
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting of Elasticsearch clusters, including network-related pipelines.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with the ELK Stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
  • Good understanding of Ruby and/or Python, GIT, and ETL knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
