Job Description:

This is an on-campus, in-person position. The Communication Department is seeking adjuncts to teach courses in Oral Communication during the fall and spring semesters. The successful candidate must be an active member of a local church and have a passion for specific academic fields and education in general.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Master's and/or Doctorate in an appropriate discipline and higher education teaching experience is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues across racial, gender, and cultural barriers
  • Higher education teaching experience is strongly preferred
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English
  • Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and students, using tact, discretion, and independent judgment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning lessons, developing assignments and activities, grading and returning student work, and holding classes as scheduled by the University.
