Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed on current and upcoming safety and health regulations, ensuring the facility's compliance with all applicable standards.

Risk Management:

Implement and refine processes for effective safety risk management and compliance assurance, utilizing technology to identify and mitigate occupational safety and health risks.

Training and Development:

Determine the necessary skills and knowledge for safety success, facilitating knowledge sharing and ensuring training programs enhance engagement and decision-making capabilities.

Communication and Engagement:

Promote a culture of open communication regarding safety and health incidents, encouraging a mature Human Performance Risk program that shares both successes and areas for improvement.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure safety policies and programs meet or exceed regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the safety sector, ideally within the chemical industry.
  • Possession of a recognized occupational safety or health certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team development and engagement skills.
