QC Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Technician to join our team at the Port Neal Complex. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing analytical and environmental chemistry support to ensure team member safety, minimize costs, optimize production, and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.

• Provide competent and timely diagnosis, analysis, and advice on plant-wide problems by applying expertise in chemistry, laboratory techniques, and knowledge of plant processes and equipment.
• Ensure all product shipments meet the appropriate specifications.
• Complete routine water, process, and product analyses, and communicate results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support and encourage safe operating procedures and techniques in the laboratory, and promote the safety program.
• Maintain effective communications and working relationships within the laboratory and other departments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Science or related degree preferred.
• Experience in a lab setting required, with ability to perform chemical analyses in accordance with approved methods and professional techniques.
• Working in the plant process area is required.
• Rotating shift and extra hours of work may be required to accommodate the needs of a 24-hour continuous process manufacturing plant.
