We are currently seeking a talented Construction Intern to join our BLUvera team in St. Paul, MN.

Company Overview

As a vertically integrated self-perform manufacturing and prefabrication affiliate, BLUvera utilizes advanced design, engineering, and 3D modeling to deliver and install prefabricated construction products on Mortenson projects.

Our team leverages technology in the manufacture and fabrication of steel frame wall panels and data center components for our project sites.

The BLUvera team continually enhances offerings in prefabricated scopes of work that drive value for Mortenson as a whole.

Job Description

This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working with a talented team of professionals.

Responsibilities will include completing construction change orders, handling shop drawings, submittals, and the request for information (RFI) processes, assisting with purchase orders and subcontractor agreements, partnering in construction sequencing and schedule maintenance, collaborating with team in preconstruction and pre-installation meetings, attending subcontractor coordination meetings and assisting with correspondence, utilizing industry-leading technology and software to assist in manufacturing for construction processes, and handling material procurement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Construction Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related degree
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Possess a current driver's license
Benefits

This full-time internship is based at our BLUvera plant office in St. Paul, MN and offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $17.00 per hour, with higher wages available for students in their sophomore year of college or more.
