Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support in the acquisition of TxDOT ROW and/or other governmental entities, condemnation, and relocation.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze parcels and ROW maps to evaluate potential conflicts and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Negotiate with property owners to acquire real property and ensure timely closing and meeting of letting schedule requirements.
- Conduct county record searches for property information and review titles to clear possible curative issues.
- Coordinate right-of-way and utility issues for clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry laws and regulations.
- Perform activities to support Real Property Projects, including property assessments, risk analysis, and occupant relocation.
- Ensure schedule and budget performance while complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as client policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar or like field.
- Texas Real Estate license required.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance required.
- Experience with Texas Department of Transportation right-of-way projects and proficiency in negotiation, relocation, and eminent domain coordination processes.
- Knowledge of TxDOT policy and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Bilingual in Spanish (conversational minimum).
- IRWA Certifications preferred.
