The role of Registered Nurse at Central State Hospital is a full-time opportunity within the healthcare sector, focusing on the comprehensive care and support of patients.
Location: Central State Hospital, operated by Whitestone Healthcare, LLC.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $40
- Weekly Pay Schedule.
- Health Insurance options available for full-time staff (minimum of 30 hours per week required).
Work Schedule:
- Available Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis.
- Mandatory coverage for one major summer and one major winter holiday.
Employment Term: Long-term engagement.
Interview Process: In-person interviews are conducted.
Orientation: Scheduled on the 1st and 16th of each month, with adjustments made for weekends or holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality care and treatment to patients.
- Overseeing the activities of nursing staff and stepping into the Charge Nurse/Shift Supervisor role as necessary.
- Operating under general supervision while exercising independent nursing judgment.
- Executing both basic and advanced nursing tasks to meet the health requirements of patients, including conducting lab work and health screenings.
- Staying updated with and adhering to all relevant agency, facility, and unit policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a drug screening and fingerprinting process.
Licensing and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Nursing License.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Current Tuberculosis (TB) screening (Chest X-ray required for positive TB results).
- Current Influenza vaccination (medical and religious exemptions available).
- Official transcript from an accredited nursing program.
