Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at LGE Design Build.

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing assigned duties with accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
  • Reviewing and processing all submittals and RFI's, ensuring compliance with contract documents and project needs.
  • Participating in the bid process and assisting the owner and project manager in recording and reviewing bids.
  • Preparing change orders requests and agreement change orders, reviewing pricing and status, ensuring compliance with prime contract.
  • Maintaining current scheduling information and filing.
  • Applying for permits and Certificates of Occupancy.
  • Coodinating utilities as directed.
  • Maintaining and saving inspection reports to file.
  • Uploading drawings to Procore.
  • Establishing and managing procedures for handling problems and information requests generated through construction.
  • Maintaining a complete and current set of drawings reflecting all changes from base contract documents.
  • Implementing job start-up and close-out procedures as directed by the project manager.
  • Maintaining aerial photos for project; uploading monthly aerials.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A thorough understanding of contract documents, plans, specifications, owner's contract, and subcontracts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work on tight deadlines, competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with construction management software.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills, able to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.

 

Reporting and Evaluation

The Project Engineer will report directly to the Vice President of Construction and will be evaluated annually based on interactions and engagement with the team, evidence of how you demonstrate company values, ability to manage workload, and competency in execution of duties.
