Job Description

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part Time Sales Associate to join our team at our retail store. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and handling cash transactions with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide a positive and welcoming experience for customers, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately manage personal cash drawer, opening, closing, and balancing transactions, adhering to all Salvation Army money handling procedures.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and well-organized store environment, including the cash register area and sales floor, ensuring a safe and inviting space for customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our products and services, enabling you to effectively communicate with customers and make recommendations.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive and supportive team environment, and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, including the use of a Point of Sale system, and ability to give change accurately.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly stand, use hands to handle or feel, and hear or talk. Frequently walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
