About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as the Head of Cancer Staging System Updates. This role will be responsible for leading the update of the AJCC Cancer Staging System and ensuring its timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a detailed project plan to update the AJCC Cancer Staging System.
  • Manage the activities of the editorial committee, expert panels, and over 400 volunteers involved in the authoring and promotion of the AJCC Cancer Staging System.
  • Work with program manager, technical specialists, technical developers, AJCC leadership, other external organizations, and volunteer subject matter experts to develop project scope and detailed project plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • At least 4-7+ years of professional experience required, including experience managing projects and/or overseeing the work of and collaborating with volunteers.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or similar products is required.
