At Brigham and Women's Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the operating room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, assisting with the peri-operative care of patients, and working closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sterile techniques and be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Assist with the peri-operative care of patients, including preparing patients for surgery and transporting them to and from the operating room.
  • Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sterile techniques and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required within one year from the date of graduation from a surgical technologist program.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
