Focus Staff is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel nursing assignment in Connecticut.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly experienced OR RN to work as a circulating and scrub nurse in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aseptic and sterile techniques, patient safety, and surgical operation procedures.
- Assess patients prior to surgery and alleviate their concerns.
- Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalies.
- Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned.
- Evaluate patient in postoperative phases.
- Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation.
The successful candidate will possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail, with a strong knowledge of operating procedures and patient safety. Compassion and sensitivity are essential for this role, and the ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and fast to act in emergencies.
Requirements- Proven experience as an operating room nurse (circulating and scrub).
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures.
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
