Job Summary

Superior Energy Services is seeking a skilled Tool Assembler I - Completions Services to join our team in Lafayette, LA. As a key member of our Completion's Office, you will be responsible for the maintenance, assembly, and disassembly of cutting-edge service tools, ensuring the smooth operation of our teardown area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all company Safety and Security policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, Job Safety Analysis, and Take 5 Safety initiatives.
  • Report injuries, accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions to a Manager or Supervisor immediately.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Follow all Quality Procedures for Preservation, Packaging, and Storage of Products.
  • Adhere to on-call/off-call work schedule, being available on short notice around the clock and on-call week.
  • Carry out daily activities with the Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure the quality and quantity of work meet performance expectations as set by Management.
  • Participate in training and cross-training within other areas to utilize labor efficiently and prevent downtime or disruption to operations.
  • Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
  • Ensure that service tool components are cleaned, oil dipped, soft assembled, and properly staged.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of tool baskets.
Requirements
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Computer skills needed for data entry and reporting.
  • Understanding written statements in work-related documents.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
  • Standing for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
  • Climbing ladders, scaffolding, work in overhead areas, etc.
  • Walking considerable distances.
  • Lifting up to 100 Lbs. minimal and occasionally.
  • Pulling and/or pushing frequently.
  • Carrying regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s).
  • Grasping regularly picks up objects with fingers.
  • Reaching regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects.
  • Stooping/Crouching regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
  • Speaking requires expressing ideas through the spoken word.
  • Listening requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air.
Personal Protective Equipment Required
  • Hard Hat.
  • Safety Glasses.
  • Steel Toe Shoes.
