- The HCA Florida North Florida Hospital UCF COM Psychiatry Residency Program is accredited for 32 residents, providing incoming physicians with a faculty appointment through UCF COM.
- The Psychiatry Department encompasses a 33-bed inpatient unit, a consultation liaison service, a PHP/IOP clinic, and an ECT service.
- The Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient care for adults aged 18 and older with acute conditions requiring 24-hour medical supervision. It is a certified Baker Act Receiving Facility, accepting both voluntary and direct admissions.
- The selected physician will concentrate on inpatient consultations and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) management.
- A resident is available on-site 24/7 for consultations, admissions, and emergencies.
- Call responsibilities are structured on a 1:5 rotation, overseeing an average of 3-4 residents.
- The role includes participation in organized didactic sessions.
- Board Eligibility or Certification in Psychiatry is mandatory.
